Can A Baby Swallow Their Tongue

Entspannter Samstag

Friday night I was shopping Nutella Found yeahhh. There were only funny-smelling body lotion. Well, just now I smell like African bush. Still better than the smell of Mueckenmittels. With the lips of some cream to get here after barely. So incredibly dry the air. And I think you also notice that we are about 1800 meters above sea level. Water is a scarce resource, it shows very much on the price. So I paid about 5 times as much as in Germany. Most other drinks are disgusting but cute. On the road I will regularly almost run over because I can get used to not really driving on the left.
yesterday's Saturday, I left very relaxed approach with Nutella;) and then joined me to the other readers to the pool.
were 2 Swiss evening here. They were launched in February in Switzerland and shut down with the goal of the entire African east coast of Cape Town. Very interesting on what and who they are in their journey as everything encountered. Then they were joined by two Austrians and it was an incredibly fun evening.
starts in an hour then the office of the bus to the camp. As already mentioned, we will dwell with 25 children for the next 4 days outside of Windhoek. The plan we are back Wednesday evening.

Difference Between White Yellow And Green Bars

Ein paar Bilder

As promised, here are the first vivid impressions:
the following 2 pictures show Katatura
my hostel room:
the Hostelbar, where people meet each evening to a large number people: Namibians who are looking for a little change, permanently drunken Englishman, German trainees in an incredibly interesting projects, America's youth groups, ...
the entrance to the office
traces of the colonial period

Is It Normal For Wegdies

Der kleine Unterschied

has really changed in the last week not so much.
I stand at 6.30 clock. The morning route is possible with 5 minutes short.
There is then thrown with things like key performance indicators, SMART Principle and Evaluation Tool around. At lunch, I wonder about the adventurous compilation. At 17 it's clock back to the accommodation and dinner in a relaxed atmosphere for a beer is drunk.
Ok, the cafeteria food I have, is in contrast to the "meal of today" the african station selection and quite as wild as combinations of noodles with mashed potatoes, carrots, and strange meat is not even in the cafeteria.

The road and river name (From rivers that do not exist at this time of year) are strongly reminiscent of the colonial era. So I cross over daily to the Bach and the Bethovenstrasse. Windhoek West and elsewhere is shaped very European. Unfortunately I could not yet see much of it, since it is already 18 clock dark and then you better not staying on the road.
is quite different, the district Katatura. Yesterday I asked a colleague if I would go with him after work typical Namibian meal. We took a taxi to the center of Katatura, a large, covered with sheet metal market. There, we bought only bread (tastes similar to a German donuts) and then looked for one of the many grills. Given that dann riesige Fleischberge gegrillt.

Mit dem Taxi fuhr I back to the hostel. Taxi driving costs the equivalent of 70 cents, a fixed price. Since there are no other public transportation, this is where every taxi. Go of it here even more than regular cars. Getting close to the road, told the passing taxis wherever you want and if the direction of fit and still have room is free, gets in one.

Today was national holiday, Herrero Day, in memory of the breakaway. Our organization has been working anyway. Since nearly all employees will be working on Sunday, a compromise was reached, which we have tomorrow and Saturday off.
The goal of Junior Achievement Namibia, it is as much as possible children and young people, in addition to school, skills to provide for their future career, for example by application and Praesentationstrainings and in the context of business simulation games, where the young people their own business reasons. The next project is a leadership camp. Ausgwewaehlten with young people, we go into their winter vacation from Sunday to Wednesday in a camp outside of Windheok. There, they received 4 days Fuehrungsfaehigkeiten team and taught.
The work in the office is great fun, as are all employees (total 5) early 20s and studying some more. If the manager level is not there, because also like to sit together over coffee and talk. The language in the office is English, every now feallt one or the other word in Afrikaans. The Englich is somewhat different from what I previously lived in England or USA am. Not being messed with here is my nice American English;)

On the night in the hostel room Troubel I got used to very quickly. Of these, I wake up no longer even on. Therefore, my skin can not really get used to the water. And something must be here in the air that I am constantly tired. But tomorrow I can sleep in fortunately for now. Then I will enjoy the beautiful weather at the hostel permanently pool and explore a bit Windheok.

(pictures will follow. However, uploading the hostel would probably take decades PC)

Building A Sausage Filler

waka waka

addition to the usual minor hiccups on Airport (who had ever had the "pleasure" to travel with me, know what I mean:) everything went smoothly on the trip. On time 6:30 am Monday morning, I found myself in the middle of the African plains. First we went to walk across the runway to the cute Flughafengebaeude. The passport control was a little longer lasting affair. But it did not seem to have the inspectors stress. Not surprising at about 10 incoming aircraft a day. I was then sent from the tourist counter at the diplomatic switch (I could get used to me;)) to where the work permit stamped in their passport to get. Another 30 taxi miles through the "nothing" and I stood in front of the hostel in Windhoek. There I was first (were from 2 5) by 2 hours to put off the Schlueseluebergabe. So we drove fruestuecken.Da I then met with three medical students of the TU Dresden, which will work in the coming weeks in a hospital in the north of the country.

there are 9 beds in my room on the estimated 15 square meters. That's it for now. The plan to secure the valuables is already implemented in practice. Another for stowage and job creation must be in the next few days ago yet. Last night I had a female and six male roommates. That will change, however, probably daily. Also with regard to the toilets and the "laundry room" (a shower, sink) will not think highly of segregation.
Most Hostelgeaste (Argentine, French, Italian, ...) so seem to have no major problem. Only the Japanese this morning looked as if he has never seen a woman.
hot water and Internet access at the only Internet-connected PC in the hostel are glueckssache.

undertaken after the urgently needed nap yesterday afternoon, I went in search of a supermarket. The 15-minute walk away from shopping centers reminded me somewhat of the United States. And I've certainly felt yet another phenomenon: 18 to enter the store clock in the light, I stood 10 minutes later in the Pitch dark. In the evening I sat still for 2 hour Hostelbar at, no less than 5 minutes alone. What jumping around here, not everything for birds that'll be fun ...

Today I had then the first working day. What I'm doing well / is going to make myself not quite clear. In the morning I went with my internship supervisor in a township. There, in a Reaserch Center was a Symposium on Biodiversity and Climate Change. In the afternoon I started the MS Access database to complete and revise. Fortunately, there are in the office eingermassen functioning Internet. As it happens I will report more extensively and also upload some pictures.

My Gum Is Turning White

Es kann losgehen

The Visa came earlier this week via e-mail that the syringes are in the arm, the most essential emergency medicines collected and the financial grant from the German Academic Exchange Service is already available. Now, almost missing is the packed suitcase. This will be a not so easy task in a limited baggage allowance of 20kg, considering that in the African winter is where day temperature differentials of 30 degrees are not uncommon. Well before I could check with my internship supervisor that the German and Namibian idea of the dress code (office attire and business suits at Special Occasions ) something come apart. So less Blüschen Safari and more clothes. Otherwise seem to be quite loose. It will be addressed in the first name and the first official working day was my first paid to sleep and watch the city. Tomorrow afternoon there is

then to Munich, where the evening my flight controls directly to Namibia. If everything checks out, I am taken Monday morning of 7 clock from the shuttle taxi to downtown Windhoek. I'm excited and will report ...

Free African Dance Mapouka

The last 3 days ...

It is very, very strange one hand still here to be on the other hand already at home. We do not know whether we should begin to pack your bags or not. It is not known by whom you have to say goodbye and whom you meet again.
On Thursday I'm GEDU to say goodbye to the stables of the "grooms" Cristian. The last time I climbed on the Jeep-riding to make Cristian in a small straw carrier. From the Jeep down, we have greeted all the friends on the street, Cristian has torn one or the other "insults" and so I know that I miss just being. All the people you meet on the street so on the old Holzstuehlen and benches right in front of their place Houses sit and spend as the day. All the little shops, where there is a little bit of everything, the fruit and Gemuesestaende, the garages, where bicycles are repaired and the old Fiat Pandas, of which there are at least 10 million in Palermo.

A Pci Sound Card Requires Watts

17 days camping in Eraclea Minoa

7 people: Betty, Giovanni, Dario, Alessio, Chiara, Mirko and I

1 car

luggage: 1 giant, 1 small and 1 kitchen-tent, a stove, a grill, 7 inflatable mattresses, 7 inflatable cushions, 1 table, 7 chairs, 1 refrigerator, a water-cooling water dispenser, 4 bikes, a travel wardrobe, 16 towels, kitchen utensils, food, toilet articles, games and Nintendo's, garments, light bulbs and power cables Tool, gel spray and drugs cases, linens, brooms, buckets, and another 100 other necessities.

You're going now might wonder how we did it with only one car to the destination to reach. Well, Dario and Alessio are with me started on the train, who made two smaller ones together with Betty and Giovanni in the car on the road. Once in Eraclea Minoa (Agrigento), gave us a beautiful and quiet Campingort expected. In the forest under the hum of bees, just 30 meters from the sea, we have built up a small paradise. There has been no shortage of us nothing, we were well equipped.

In a pedal boat tour, I'm the first living starfish seen in my life. We have collected a lot of shells and salt crystals and a kind of clay, we smeared on the skin. For a long time I have seen once again a swallowtail (butterfly) in the wild and let me stand out 2 times by bees. Overall, we have rendered 17 kg pasta, a pound for every lunch. In the evening, however gabs mostly meat, chicken or sausage from the grill. Giovanni has frequently tried to fish, but only once has a small but very pretty fish caught out. Alessio has fought a lot and screamed. He's just a damn difficult child. Has no respect for nothing and no one dares to say everything, insults, hits, and forget to enter a second, all his promises. Therefore it is even more beautiful when you achieve success with him and once even been able to gain a smile ... Chiara, however, is too weak. You trust yourself to anything, has wept for every little fear, at once, often speaks so softly and so verjammert that they hardly understand and often seems to sleep with open eyes. She has hung on me like a bag Kangerookind in the Mama that's sometimes become quite exhausting.

In these 16 nights I have dreamed quite a lot of funny and strange things and they had me written all. I've slept together in the big tent with all the children and in my opinion, it was the rays of the Nintendo, which in my brain worked. For Querfloetespielen I came only once. That made me pretty angry, but I've tinkered a Bambusfloete, where you can at least play 8 different sounds. With the children, however, I have constructed a small raft made of wood and straw and a lot of "forest game" played ...

I have 3 cars found with Grazer indicator and a family from Feldbach met. That made me very happy and yet also a bit of longing transferred to home.

Techno Song From Blade

Grest

early July, the church of the neighboring community of a summer camp (Grest) organized for children. A total of 100 children have it and about 20 volunteer tutors participating including Alessio, Mirko and me. We all got T-shirts, caps and Namenskaertchen and were divided into 4 groups. Each group had its own name and slogan and had to gather at various games of skill points. It was also played football and theater, handicrafts, painted, danced and prayed. There were children of different ages while, upwards of 3 years. Time and again we have sprayed with water to us and the Gelato abzukuehlen tons were consumed determined ...
It is a very nice experience for me was when a very strenuous. I have a lot of love and sympathy to People met and fell in love with many children. At the end of my leave of all the vortex is like really hard ...
